在監(jiān)獄囚禁了5年多次搶銀行的搶劫犯奴卡（杰拉爾·德帕迪 Gérard Depardieu 飾）刑滿釋放了，跟他打過多次交道玉山警官多羅夫（埃爾·理查德 Pierre Richard 飾）特意來接他。多羅夫不相信奴卡能改??正，可奴卡放出來之后，就想改前非好好做人。為了生存奴賣掉了僅有的金銀首飾準(zhǔn)備到行開戶，不料，碰上正在持槍劫的弗朗索瓦劫持為人質(zhì)。這多羅夫帶領(lǐng)警察也趕到了，他相信長(zhǎng)得一副窩囊相的弗朗索是劫匪，認(rèn)定奴卡是劫犯，奴有口難辨只好和弗朗索瓦逃跑在開車逃離拉扯中弗朗索瓦不叩響了手槍，打中了奴卡的大。弗朗索瓦只好來到他父親的朋友獸醫(yī)馬丁家給奴卡取子彈此時(shí)多羅夫也查出了搶銀行的弗朗索瓦所為。弗朗索瓦害怕警察抓到，求奴卡幫他弄個(gè)假照，逃到國(guó)外去。弗朗索瓦被卡的朋友拉迪夫勒索護(hù)照費(fèi)5萬法郎，因交不出遭綁架，在馬家奴卡被警察認(rèn)出，倉(cāng)惶逃跑隨后他救出了弗朗索瓦，下一他們還要經(jīng)歷那些麻煩事呢?
